Good weather, new camera, old toys and Larry the lepychaun

Since SOMEONE washed our camera (ok, I washed the camera) we got a new one.  The destruction of the old camera was not all bad. It wasn't a good camera to begin with, so I was perfectly fine getting a new one... and I LOVE the new one. It takes lovely pictures.  Exhibit A:
Or MAYBE it is the subject that makes the camera seem so great :)

Either way, it is great. Currently I think Benson looks just like Riley S. and Brad.  I can't see it much in the above picture, but occasionally I definitely see them.

Sometimes Benson and I walk up to campus and meet Riley for lunch.  This particular day was 70 degrees. SO BEAUTIFUL!  We took advantage of the lovely weather and stayed outside allllllll day.

Benson is a really good running buddy.  He usually stares at me and smiles, which encourages me to keep running.  Sometimes I make funny faces at him or sing a silly song.... people who see me must think I'm a lunatic.

Benson loves laying on the ground. He is getting better at holding on to things.  He loves this monkey

On another 70 degree day we went to the library and sat by a tree.  I read while Benson played.

He even tried to throw the ball to me!

The whole day outside must have exhausted him.  He fell right asleep while we were eating dinner.

Larry the Leprechaun left Benson a fun surprise on st. partricks day! We had fun matching the m&m's to the rainbow.  Benson even tried to eat one! (kidding...)

We had a traditional Irish meal with the Wilson's -corned beef, potatoes, irish soda bread and cabbage.  Since the Wilson's are heading to Botswana they have been cleaning out their house.  They found some of Riley's old toys.

 Micro machines.

I had no idea Riley likes trolls....

All in all, we have been having lots of fun and love our new camera.  Next week we are headed to Maryland to check our some schools and find an apartment. Wish us luck!

Generally well behaved

Last night Riley was studying and I was busy looking at apartments in Baltimore area. Benson was sitting on the couch next to Riley, happily making grunts and coo's.  Suddenly we heard a rather explosive sounding toot.  This wasn't unusual so we laughed an went about our business. A few minutes later he started to get fussy so I picked him up, only to notice this.... (excuse the graphic image)
It was everywhere.  (Side note: a few years ago when Riley S. was trying to house train Bauer we read that they needed to look at their doo-doo and be shamed.  We took a similar tactic here, making Benson look at the mess he made:) haha)
We quickly took the slip cover off the couch and put it in the laundry.  After changing Benson and getting him ready for bed I went to change the laundry.  The moment I opened the machine I saw our camera sitting on top. Totally ruined.  The SD was salvaged (hence the picture) but the camera was done for.

We are now currently in the market for a camera.  Ours was getting old anyway. Any suggestions for a good point and shoot?
